Choose to fight on the side of HUMANITY, armed with science and technology, or take the side of the BEAST HORDE, masters of nature and magic.
Each race has its own style of battle, its own leader and its own way to victory. Which side are you on?
Combining real time strategy and first person action, Savage delivers the next level in multiplayer gaming. Instead of sending mindless computer drones into battle, imagine organizing real human players on a crusade to conquer your adversary. Choose to be a commander, and you will play an in-depth RTS game, researching technologies, mining resources, and issuing orders to your units. Choose to be a warrior, and you will play an intense game of first person combat, wielding your weapon of choice to strike down the enemy.
Savage is designed so that neither RTS nor Action based play are watered down in any way. RTS fans will have all the control they are used to, such as: tech tree, resource management, and tactical strategy. In turn, the action-based players will play an in-depth fighting game with a heavy emphasis on battle dynamics. Although the two sides work together their roles are very distinct.

The objective of A Tale in the Desert is to build the ideal civilization by perfecting the Seven Disciplines of Man.
Each discipline is unique. To perfect Art, you must create works of genuine beauty for your fellow players to judge. To perfect Leadership, you must wisely govern your fellow players. To advance in Conflict, you must master the duel, a test of wits, not strength. To advance Architecture, you must build monuments that tower over your fellow players. To progress in Worship, teams of players must master beautiful but complex rituals. To progress in The Human Body, you must maximize your strength and endurance. And to achieve perfect Thought, you must master the sphinx’s riddles.
Unfortunately, perfecting the seven disciplines will not be easy. An Evil Stranger is at work, trying to corrupt the Egyptians and turn them against themselves.
The outcome of the game depends solely on the players. The players build their own cities, they choose their own leaders, and they must meet the stranger’s challenges. If they can organize themselves and negotiate for what they need, Egypt will flourish.

Neocron is one of the three remaining cities on Earth created and developed from the ruins of World War III. This post-apocalyptic city has emerged after several hundred years of fighting, disease, pollution, torment and suffering, but has culminated in a strange discovery. A spacecraft with 3,000 settlers on a mission to the Irata colonies, once deemed destroyed, and ironically the wrongful cause of WWIII, finally re-establishes contact. This contact spoke of a paradise not seen on Earth for over 700 years.
Hope that a life on the planet Irata III was present meant that the majority of the brave habitants of Neocron embarked on quest for a better life, leaving behind their lives and belongings in the hands of criminals, delinquents and ultimately corruption.
The remaining dictator, Lioon Reza, whose genuine interest in the people of Neocron is minimal, currently governs the city. Huge powerful Companies and partly extremist political groups constitute the second tier of power.
So what is left is a life in Neocron, and you choose to live it your own way. Partake in criminal activities, live peacefully, or become a spy. Choose to be a PSI-Monk with extraordinary powers or be a Tank Warrior, and go for some evil destruction.
Bear in mind one thing… “It’s a new world, a new life… live it!”
